Celebrate Your Freedom to Read During Banned Books Week at Jean Barnett Trone Memorial Library of East Berlin!

Jean Barnett Trone Memorial Library of East Berlin will be uniting with the American Library Association and the Pennsylvania Library Association in shared support of the freedom to read during Banned Books Week, September 24-30. Banned Books Week is an annual event that celebrates the freedom to read. Librarians, teachers, publisher, booksellers, journalists, authors and readers around the country will be coming together to focus on the value of free and open access to information. Words have power and access to diverse ideas gives us all the power to fight ignorance and strengthen understanding. Celebrate the freedom to read by reading your favorite banned book.
